Bosphorus cymbals are forged and hand hammered in Istanbul Turkey. They are made the way cymbals used to be. Thousands of expertly achieved hammer blows shape each cymbal to produce an instrument of aural complexity that simply cannot be achieved by any short cut.

Bosphorus Cymbals New Zealand Limited is the sole importer of Bosphorus Cymbals in New Zealand. We bring these magnificent instruments to New Zealand drummers and pass them on at the lowest possible prices.

Antique series playing surfaces feature alternating lathed and unlathecd bands, while the undersides are lathed in the traditional manner. This lathing pattern dries up the attack sound and provides for an aggressive bell.

Rides 20" and 22"  are dark with slightly reduced overtones and varied playing surfaces. Banded lathing on the top side still allows cymbals to open up with rich warm undertones. Unlathed areas offer greater stick definition.  Crashes  16" and 18" are fast, a little trashy with a slightly mellowed sustain.   Popular weights are thin and paper thin. Hi-hats 14" have a clean chick sound and are darker and have more stick defintion than the Traditional series.
