Bosphorus cymbals are forged and hand hammered in Istanbul Turkey. They are made the way cymbals used to be. Thousands of expertly achieved hammer blows shape each cymbal to produce an instrument of aural complexity that simply cannot be achieved by any short cut.

Bosphorus Cymbals New Zealand Limited is the sole importer of Bosphorus Cymbals in New Zealand. We bring these magnificent instruments to New Zealand drummers and pass them on at the lowest possible prices.

Bosphorus Master series have a deep dark tone and warm vintage sound. They are thin with a soft played-in feel and have a characteristic wobble at the edge.  This series has become a mainstay among jazz drummers.

Rides 19", 20", 22" and 24"  Have a smaller bell, slightly bowed profile and thinner edge than the Traditional series.  They give a woody, vowel-like stick sound with plenty of smoky low end wash.  A perfect choice for acoustic jazz applications.  Flat rides have pronounced stick definition supported by a dark rich undertone.  The 18" crash has a warm vintage sound with a low fundamental pitch but still enough stick definition to act as a ride cymbal in acoustic settings.  Hi-hats 13" and 14"  Feature two distinctive lathing patterns on the convex surface with an unlathed concave surface. Master Series hats are known for their musicality, crisp stick definition,  sensitivity, dark but ample chick sound and warm full wash when played half-open or splashed. Perfect for acoustic settings.
