New Orleans

The New Orleans series has the profile and hammering of the Traditional series but with a distinctive wide lathing pattern on both sides. This lathing pattern produces focused woody ride sounds and quick, dry crashes.
Rides 19", 20", 21" and 22" The wide lathing gives a dark, dry sound with dramatically reduced overtones, increased stick definition and trashy undertones. The slightly muted sound resembles an aged vintage Turkish cymbal. Crashes 16" and 18" are quick and dry with reduced sustain but plenty of low end harmonics. Hi-hats 14" are dry and dark due to the wide lathing on both sides.
